GABRIEL, CHARLES HUTCHINSON (1856-1932)

Charles H. Gabriel, music editor of the Rodeheaver Publishing Company, was one of the best-known and most prolific gospel songwriters of the early 20th century. Mr. Gabriel wrote the lyrics, and frequently the music as well, for thousands of gospel songs. His gospel songs were used regularly by Homer Rodeheaver during the Billy Sunday evangelistic crusades starting circa 1910.
