Exodus 32:1
1 And when the
people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves
together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this
Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
Exodus 32:7-10
7 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy
people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:
8 They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a
molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O
Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
9 And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked
people:
10 Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them:
and I will make of thee a great nation.
Exodus 32:30-35
30 And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto
the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the LORD; peradventure I shall
make an atonement for your sin.
31 And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have
made them gods of gold.
32 Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book
which thou hast written.
33 And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my
book.
34 Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine
Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon
them.
35 And the LORD plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.
Numbers 14:9-11
9 Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the
people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is
with us: fear them not.
10 But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORD appeared in the
tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.
11 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere
they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?

18 Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek,

1 Chronicles 28:9
9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy
father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all
hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found
of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

27 Now after the time that Amaziah did turn away from
following the LORD they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem; and he fled to Lachish: but

Isaiah 1:2-4
2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath
spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my

4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are
corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they
are gone away backward.
Isaiah 1:28
28 And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners
shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.
Isaiah 65:11-16
11 But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my
holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that
number.
12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because
when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and
did choose that wherein I delighted not.

16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that
sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten,
and because they are hid from mine eyes.
Jeremiah 2:19
19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy
backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that
thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of
hosts.
Jeremiah 5:6
6 Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a
wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that
goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their

Ezekiel 3:20
20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his

thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done
shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Ezekiel 18:24
24 But when the righteous turneth away from his
righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked
man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his
trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
Ezekiel 18:26
26 When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness,
and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.
Ezekiel 33:12-13
12 Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of
thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his
transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he
turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in
the day that he sinneth.
13 When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own
righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his
iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.
Ezekiel 33:18
18 When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and
committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby.
Zephaniah 1:6
6 And them that are turned back from the LORD; and those
that have not sought the LORD, nor enquired for him.

1 Corinthians 9:27
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into

the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in
unrighteousness.
1 Timothy 1:3-7
3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I

1 Timothy 4:1-8

6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus
Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast
attained.
7 But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise
of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
1 Timothy 5:11-15
11 But the younger widows refuse: for when they have
begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;
12 Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.
13 And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but
tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
14 I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none
occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
15 For some are already turned aside after Satan.
1 Timothy 6:3-5
3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome
words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to
godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh
envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is
godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a
snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred
from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust,
avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

2 Timothy 2:23-26
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing
that they do gender strifes.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach,
patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them
repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him
at his will.
2 Timothy 3:1-9
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins,
led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt
minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also
was.
2 Timothy 3:13
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse,
deceiving, and being deceived.

Titus 1:9-16

11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not,
for filthy lucre’s sake.
12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts,
slow bellies.
13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;
14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing
pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient,
and unto every good work reprobate.
Titus 3:9-11
9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and
contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
Hebrews 3:12
12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil
heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

Hebrews 10:25-31
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as
the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day
approaching.
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth
no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the
adversaries.
28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under
foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an
unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord.
And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Hebrews 10:38-39
38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw
back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of
the soul.
2 Peter 2:1-8
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even
as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even
denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil
spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment
now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into
chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness,
bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making
them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

2 Peter 2:15-17
15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray,
following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the
madness of the prophet.
17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of
darkness is reserved for ever.
2 Peter 2:20-22
20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the
world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein,
and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they
have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit
again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

1 John 2:18-19
18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have
heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is
the last time.
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt
have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all
of us.
Jude 4-6
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of
old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness,
and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having
saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved
in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
