Acts 13:23
23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to
his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
Galatians 3:14-22
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the
Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet if it be
confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.
16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but
as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which
was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none
effect.
18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by
promise.
19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should
come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.
21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which
could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might
be given to them that believe.
Hebrews 8:4-13
4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest,
seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the
pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a
better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the
second.
8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a
new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the
hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I
regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the
Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a
God, and they shall be to me a people:
11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the
Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I
remember no more.

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all
the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be

ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his
youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and
day and night shall not cease.
Genesis 9:1-17
1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be
fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every
fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your
hand are they delivered.
3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all
things.
4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it,
and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of
man.
6 Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he
man.

therein.

of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the
waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living
creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the
earth.
14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in
the cloud:
15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all
flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting

house is this Eliezer of Damascus?

heir.
4 And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he

5 And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage;
and I have remembered my covenant.
6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the
burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a
stretched out arm, and with great judgments:
7 And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am
the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
8 And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to
Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD.
Exodus 12:25
25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land
which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.
Exodus 19:5-8
5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep
my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is
mine:
6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou
shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
7 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these
words which the LORD commanded him.
8 And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And
Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.

long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

6 And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons;
and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All
that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.
8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the
covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.

16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath,
to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
Exodus 32:13
13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom
thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of
heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit
it for ever.
Exodus 34:10
10 And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy
people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all
the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I
will do with thee.
Exodus 34:27-28
27 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words:
for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.
28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink
water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
Leviticus 20:24
24 But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land,
and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD
your God, which have separated you from other people.
Leviticus 26:25
25 And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge
the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the
pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
Leviticus 26:40-46
40 If they shall confess their iniquity, and the
iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they
have walked contrary unto me;
41 And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their
enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of
their iniquity:
42 Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my
covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.
43 The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate
without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they
despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.
44 And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away,
neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am
the LORD their God.
45 But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of
the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.
46 These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children
of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.
Numbers 14:33-34
33 And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty
years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness.
34 After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a
year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of
promise.
Numbers 14:40
40 And they rose up early in the morning, and gat them up
into the top of the mountain, saying, Lo, we be here, and will go up unto the place which the LORD
hath promised: for we have sinned.
Numbers 18:19
19 All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the
children of Israel offer unto the LORD, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with
thee, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the LORD unto thee and to thy
seed with thee.
Numbers 25:11-13
11 Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the
priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake
among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.
12 Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:
13 And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood;
because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.
Numbers 30:2-16
2 If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to
bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that
proceedeth out of his mouth.
3 If a woman also vow a vow unto the LORD, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father’s
house in her youth;
4 And her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall
hold his peace at her: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her
soul shall stand.
5 But if her father disallow her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds
wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the LORD shall forgive her, because her father
disallowed her.
6 And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, wherewith she
bound her soul;
7 And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her in the day that he heard it: then her vows
shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.
8 But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which
she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect:
and the LORD shall forgive her.
9 But every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, wherewith they have bound their souls,
shall stand against her.
10 And if she vowed in her husband’s house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath;
11 And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her, and disallowed her not: then all her vows
shall stand, and every bond wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.
12 But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatsoever
proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand:
her husband hath made them void; and the LORD shall forgive her.
13 Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her
husband may make it void.
14 But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day; then he establisheth all
her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he confirmeth them, because he held his peace at
her in the day that he heard them.
15 But if he shall any ways make them void after that he hath heard them; then he shall bear her
iniquity.
16 These are the statutes, which the LORD commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between the
father and his daughter, being yet in her youth in her father’s house.

may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath
promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
Deuteronomy 7:8-9
8 But because the LORD loved you, and because he would
keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty
hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and
mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
Deuteronomy 9:9
9 When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables
of stone, even the tables of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I abode in the mount
forty days and forty nights, I neither did eat bread nor drink water:

9 Wherefore Levi hath no part nor inheritance with his
brethren; the LORD is his inheritance, according as the LORD thy God promised him.
Deuteronomy 12:20
20 When the LORD thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he
hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh;
thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.

6 For the LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised
thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over
many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

8 And if the LORD thy God enlarge thy coast, as he hath
sworn unto thy fathers, and give thee all the land which he promised to give unto thy
fathers;

and perform; even a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto the LORD thy God, which
thou hast promised with thy mouth.
Deuteronomy 26:18
18 And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his
peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;
Deuteronomy 27:3
3 And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this
law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth
thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised
thee.
Deuteronomy 29:1-15
1 These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD
commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which
he made with them in Horeb.
2 And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did before
your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his
land;
3 The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:
4 Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto
this day.
5 And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and
thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot.
6 Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am
the LORD your God.
7 And when ye came unto this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out
against us unto battle, and we smote them:
8 And we took their land, and gave it for an inheritance unto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites,
and to the half tribe of Manasseh.
9 Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye
do.
10 Ye stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your
elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel,
11 Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that is in thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood
unto the drawer of thy water:
12 That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the LORD thy God, and into his oath, which the LORD
thy God maketh with thee this day:
13 That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God,
as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to
Jacob.
14 Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath;
15 But with him that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that
is not here with us this day:
Joshua 8:30-35
30 Then Joshua built an altar unto the LORD God of Israel
in mount Ebal,
31 As Moses the servant of the LORD commanded the children of Israel, as it is written in the book
of the law of Moses, an altar of whole stones, over which no man hath lift up any iron: and they
offered thereon burnt offerings unto the LORD, and sacrificed peace offerings.
32 And he wrote there upon the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he wrote in the presence of
the children of Israel.
33 And all Israel, and their elders, and officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and
on that side before the priests the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, as
well the stranger, as he that was born among them; half of them over against mount Gerizim, and
half of them over against mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded before, that
they should bless the people of Israel.
34 And afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessings and cursings, according to all
that is written in the book of the law.
35 There was not a word of all that Moses commanded, which Joshua read not before all the
congregation of Israel, with the women, and the little ones, and the strangers that were conversant
among them.
Joshua 22:4
4 And now the LORD your God hath given rest unto your
brethren, as he promised them: therefore now return ye, and get you unto your tents, and unto the
land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you on the other side
Jordan.
Joshua 23:5
5 And the LORD your God, he shall expel them from before you,
and drive them from out of your sight; and ye shall possess their land, as the LORD your God hath
promised unto you.
Joshua 23:10
10 One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your
God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.
Joshua 23:15
15 Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things
are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil
things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given
you.
Joshua 24:1-28
1 And Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem,
and called for the elders of Israel, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their
officers; and they presented themselves before God.
2 And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the
other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor:
and they served other gods.
3 And I took your father Abraham from the other side of the flood, and led him throughout all the
land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Isaac.
4 And I gave unto Isaac Jacob and Esau: and I gave unto Esau mount Seir, to possess it; but Jacob
and his children went down into Egypt.
5 I sent Moses also and Aaron, and I plagued Egypt, according to that which I did among them: and
afterward I brought you out.
6 And I brought your fathers out of Egypt: and ye came unto the sea; and the Egyptians pursued
after your fathers with chariots and horsemen unto the Red sea.
7 And when they cried unto the LORD, he put darkness between you and the Egyptians, and brought the
sea upon them, and covered them; and your eyes have seen what I have done in Egypt: and ye dwelt in
the wilderness a long season.
8 And I brought you into the land of the Amorites, which dwelt on the other side Jordan; and they
fought with you: and I gave them into your hand, that ye might possess their land; and I destroyed
them from before you.
9 Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and warred against Israel, and sent and called
Balaam the son of Beor to curse you:
10 But I would not hearken unto Balaam; therefore he blessed you still: so I delivered you out of
his hand.
11 And ye went over Jordan, and came unto Jericho: and the men of Jericho fought against you, the
Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Girgashites, the
Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I delivered them into your hand.
12 And I sent the hornet before you, which drave them out from before you, even the two kings of
the Amorites; but not with thy sword, nor with thy bow.
13 And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye
dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.
14 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods
which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the
LORD.
15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether
the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the
Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
16 And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the LORD, to serve other
gods;
17 For the LORD our God, he it is that brought us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from
the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way
wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed:
18 And the LORD drave out from before us all the people, even the Amorites which dwelt in the land:
therefore will we also serve the LORD; for he is our God.
19 And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he is an holy God; he is a
jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.
20 If ye forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume
you, after that he hath done you good.
21 And the people said unto Joshua, Nay; but we will serve the LORD.
22 And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the
LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.
23 Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart
unto the LORD God of Israel.
24 And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we
obey.
25 So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and set them a statute and an ordinance in
Shechem.
26 And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and took a great stone, and set it
up there under an oak, that was by the sanctuary of the LORD.
27 And Joshua said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us; for it hath
heard all the words of the LORD which he spake unto us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you,
lest ye deny your God.
28 So Joshua let the people depart, every man unto his inheritance.
Judges 2:1
1 And an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and
said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your
fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you.
2 Samuel 7:8-16
8 Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David,
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler
over my people, over Israel:
9 And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy
sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the
earth.
10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell
in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them
any more, as beforetime,
11 And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee
to rest from all thine enemies. Also the LORD telleth thee that he will make thee an house.
12 And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed
after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.
13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for
ever.
14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the
rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:
15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before
thee.
16 And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be
established for ever.

unto the king, I pray thee, let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed unto the LORD, in

again indeed to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD.

all my desire, although he make it not to grow.

3 And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and
thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built,
to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in
uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my
judgments:
5 Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy
father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.
6 But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my
commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship
them:
7 Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have
hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among
all people:
8 And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall
hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house?
9 And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers
out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served
them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.

and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of
the LORD.
3 And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and
to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their heart and all their
soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people
stood to the covenant.
1 Chronicles 17:11-15
11 And it shall come to pass, when thy days be
expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which
shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom.
12 He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever.
13 I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I
took it from him that was before thee:
14 But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be
established for evermore.
15 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto
David.

promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel;
yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before
me.

great, whether man or woman.
14 And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with
cornets.
15 And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with
their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about.

Nehemiah 9:32-38
32 Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the
terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that
hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on
our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.
33 Howbeit thou art just in all that is brought upon us; for thou hast done right, but we have done
wickedly:
34 Neither have our kings, our princes, our priests, nor our fathers, kept thy law, nor hearkened
unto thy commandments and thy testimonies, wherewith thou didst testify against them.
35 For they have not served thee in their kingdom, and in thy great goodness that thou gavest them,
and in the large and fat land which thou gavest before them, neither turned they from their wicked
works.
36 Behold, we are servants this day, and for the land that thou gavest unto our fathers to eat the
fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we are servants in it:
37 And it yieldeth much increase unto the kings whom thou hast set over us because of our sins:
also they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are in
great distress.
38 And because of all this we make a sure covenant, and write it; and our princes, Levites, and
priests, seal unto it.
Nehemiah 10:28-29
28 And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites,
the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people
of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having
knowledge, and having understanding;
29 They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk
in God’s law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the
commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;
Nehemiah 13:29
29 Remember them, O my God, because they have defiled the
priesthood, and the covenant of the priesthood, and of the Levites.
Psalm 89:20-37
20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I
anointed him:
21 With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
24 But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be
exalted.
25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
33 Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to
fail.
34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.
Psalm 105:8-11
8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which
he commanded to a thousand generations.
9 Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:

42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his
servant.
Psalm 106:45
45 And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented
according to the multitude of his mercies.

5 He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be
mindful of his covenant.

stranger which flattereth with her words;
17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
Isaiah 49:8
8 Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard
thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a
covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;
Isaiah 54:10
10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed;
but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed,
saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
Isaiah 55:3
3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul
shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
Isaiah 59:21
21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD;
My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of
thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith
the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
Isaiah 61:8
8 For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt
offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with
them.
Isaiah 65:9
9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah
an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell
there.
Jeremiah 3:16-18
16 And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and
increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the
covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall
they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.
17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be
gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the
imagination of their evil heart.
18 In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come
together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your
fathers.
Jeremiah 11:2-3
2 Hear ye the words of this covenant, and speak unto the
men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
3 And say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Cursed be the man that obeyeth not the
words of this covenant,
Jeremiah 22:9
9 Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the
covenant of the LORD their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them.
Jeremiah 31:31-37
31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will
make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the
hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an
husband unto them, saith the LORD:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days,
saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be
their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know
the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the
LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and
of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of
hosts is his name:
36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall
cease from being a nation before me for ever.
37 Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched
out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the
LORD.
Jeremiah 32:40-42
40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them,
that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that
they shall not depart from me.
41 Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with
my whole heart and with my whole soul.
42 For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I
bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.
Jeremiah 33:14
14 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will
perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of
Judah.

servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests,
my ministers.
Jeremiah 44:26-27
26 Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah
that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my
name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The
Lord GOD liveth.
27 Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in
the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of
them.
Jeremiah 50:5
5 They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces
thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant that shall
not be forgotten.
Ezekiel 16:59
59 For thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even deal with thee
as thou hast done, which hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant.

oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, even it will I recompense upon his
own head.

26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it
shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set
my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.
Hosea 2:14-23
14 Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into
the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.
15 And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and
she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the
land of Egypt.
16 And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no
more Baali.
17 For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered
by their name.
18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls
of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and
the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.
19 And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and
in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.
20 I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD.
21 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the LORD, I will hear the heavens, and
they shall hear the earth;
22 And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel.
23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained
mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say,
Thou art my God.
Micah 7:20
20 Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to
Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.
Malachi 2:4-5
4 And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto
you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.
5 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he
feared me, and was afraid before my name.
Matthew 19:29
29 And every one that hath forsaken
houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my
name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
Matthew 25:34
34 Then shall the King say unto them
on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the
foundation of the world:
Luke 1:72-73
72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to
remember his holy covenant;
73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
Luke 22:19-20
19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and
gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in
remembrance of me.
20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament
in my blood, which is shed for you.
Acts 1:4-5
4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that
they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he,
ye have heard of me.
5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days
hence.
Acts 2:33
33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having
received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and
hear.
Acts 7:5
5 And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to
set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed
after him, when as yet he had no child.
Acts 7:17
17 But when the time of the promise drew nigh, which God had
sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,
Acts 13:23
23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise
raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
Acts 13:32
32 And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise
which was made unto the fathers,
Acts 26:6-7
6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise
made of God unto our fathers:
7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For
which hope’s sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
Romans 1:2
2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy
scriptures,)
Romans 4:13-21
13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the
world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of
faith.
14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none
effect:
15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all
the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham;
who is the father of us all,
17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even
God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to
that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an
hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb:
20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory
to God;
21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
Romans 8:2-4
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made
me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in
the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but
after the Spirit.
Romans 9:4-13
4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and
the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the
promises;
5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God
blessed for ever. Amen.
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of
Israel:
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy
seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the
children of the promise are counted for the seed.
9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.
10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;
11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of
God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.
13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
Romans 15:8
8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the
circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
1 Corinthians 11:24-25
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and
said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in
remembrance of me.
25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in
remembrance of me.
2 Corinthians 1:19-22
19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was
preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him
was yea.
20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
2 Corinthians 3:6
6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new
testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth
life.
Galatians 3:29
29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s
seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Galatians 4:23
23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the
flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
Galatians 4:28
28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of
promise.
Ephesians 1:13
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of
truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that
holy Spirit of promise,
Ephesians 2:12
12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens
from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and
without God in the world:
Ephesians 3:6
6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same
body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
Ephesians 6:2
2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first
commandment with promise;)
1 Timothy 4:8
8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is
profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to
come.
2 Timothy 1:1
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God,
according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,
Titus 1:2
2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised
before the world began;
Hebrews 6:12-20
12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who
through faith and patience inherit the promises.
13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by
himself,
14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all
strife.
17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his
counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong
consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into
that within the veil;
20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the
order of Melchisedec.
Hebrews 7:6
6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received
tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
Hebrews 7:20-27
20 And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made
priest:
21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him,
The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of
Melchisedec:)
22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of
death:
24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he
ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and
made higher than the heavens;
27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and
then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
Hebrews 8:4-13
4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest,
seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he
was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the
pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth
old is ready to vanish away.
Hebrews 9:11-15
11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to
come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this
building;
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy
place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean,
sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without
spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the
redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might
receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Hebrews 9:25-28
25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high
priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end
of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he
appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Hebrews 10:9-12
9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He
taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for
all.
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which
can never take away sins:
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand
of God;
Hebrews 10:36
36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done
the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Hebrews 11:8-17
8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a
place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing
whither he went.
9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles
with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child
when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in
multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and
were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on
the earth.
14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have
had opportunity to have returned.
16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be
called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises
offered up his only begotten son,
Hebrews 11:39
39 And these all, having obtained a good report through
faith, received not the promise:
Hebrews 12:18-26
18 For ye are not come unto the mount that might be
touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
19 And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that
the word should not be spoken to them any more:
20 (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the
mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
21 And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)
22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem,
and to an innumerable company of angels,
23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the
Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh
better things than that of Abel.
25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on
earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not
the earth only, but also heaven.

21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in
his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

you,
5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last
time.

should come to repentance.

eternal life.

be his God, and he shall be my son.
